Meet ten-year-old Bertil. Everything about Bertil is so normal that it’s actually very dull. His mom and dad are very ordinary too. And his little brother and older sister are totally ordinary and annoying. The only thing in Bertil’s life that really isn’t ordinary is the bum bag that he inherited from his senile grandfather. Everyone disregarded it when the grandfather told them that the bum bag was magical, but one day it started speaking to Bertil. Grandfather was right after all!

And not only does the bum bag speak it also has the ability to conjure things up from within. Unfortunately, the bum bag is a little too outspoken, and even when it tries to help it gets Bertil in all sorts of trouble.
